How to Reset Subversion (SVN) Credentials in Aptana Studio
Manually reset SVN credentials in Aptana Studio by deleting the authentication file from the %APPDATA% directory.
Short answer
To reset SVN credentials in Aptana Studio, navigate to %APPDATA%Subversionauthsvn.simple and delete the MD5-named file located there. Restart Aptana Studio. The application will then prompt for new SVN credentials, bypassing the lack of an in-app reset option.
Scenario
A user may encounter a situation where they need to update Subversion (SVN) credentials within Aptana Studio, particularly when using a different workstation or after a password change. Aptana Studio does not provide a direct interface or option to reset or modify existing SVN credentials from within the application itself. This can prevent users from accessing SVN repositories with new or different authentication details.

To reset SVN credentials in Aptana Studio, follow these steps:
Browse to the Subversion authentication directory on your computer. This path is typically represented by
%APPDATA%Subversionauthsvn.simpleLocate and delete the file within this directory. The file name will resemble an md5 string.
Restart Aptana Studio.
Upon restarting, Aptana Studio will prompt the user to configure SVN again, allowing for the entry of new credentials.Note: The
%APPDATA%environment variable usually points toC:Users*Your Windows Username*AppDataRoaming.
