To prevent duplicate shortcuts on published dashboards, it is crucial to always update the existing Published Dashboard record for a role. NetSuite is designed to avoid duplicating shortcuts when re-publishing from the same record.
Correct Method for Publishing Shortcuts:
Navigate to the Home Dashboard.
Locate the "Publish Dashboard" link.
Click the "List" link situated directly beside the "Publish Dashboard" link.
Update the existing Published Dashboard record for the relevant role.
Incorrect Method (Leads to Duplication):
Navigate to the Home Dashboard.
Click the "Publish Dashboard" link directly to create a new record when one already exists for the role.
Resolving Existing Duplicate Shortcuts:
If duplicate shortcuts have already appeared, follow these steps:
Log in as the user or under the role that originally created the new, duplicating Published Dashboard record.
Remove the shortcuts that were duplicated from this record.
Re-publish using this same new Published Dashboard record again. This action should remove the duplicate shortcuts for other users within that role.

Re-publish to the original, correct Published Dashboard record.
