Configuring SSP Application Touchpoints in NetSuite SCA

This guide details the process for setting up and modifying SSP application touchpoints within the Domains subtab of your SuiteCommerce Advanced website record.

Short answer

To update SSP application touchpoints in SuiteCommerce Advanced (Denali and later), navigate to the Domains subtab of your website record. Configure touchpoints for each domain, ensuring each line item's changes are saved before submitting the overall domain configuration and finally saving the website record.

Scenario

Users of NetSuite SuiteCommerce Advanced (Denali and later versions) may encounter difficulties when attempting to update or configure touchpoints for their SSP applications. Although a dedicated Touchpoints subtab exists, the correct procedure for modifying these settings involves specific steps within the Domains subtab of the website setup.

Solution

The process for configuring touchpoints for SSP applications in SuiteCommerce Advanced (Denali and later versions) requires specific steps within the Domains subtab of the website setup. While a dedicated Touchpoints subtab exists, the configuration must be performed under the Domains subtab. Changes to each line item and the overall domain configuration require careful saving to ensure they are applied.

  1. Navigate to Set Up > SuiteCommerce Advanced > Set Up Website.

  2. Identify the relevant SCA site and click Edit on its record.

  3. Open the subtab for Domains.

  4. Locate the column for Touch Points, typically associated with the Primary Web Site URL.

  5. Access the touchpoint configuration interface, which may involve clicking an icon or link within the Touch Points column.

  6. A configuration window or section will open, displaying the dynamically populated Touch Points.

  7. For each Touch Point, click into the SSP Application cell.

  8. Select the correct SSP Application.

  9. Save the changes for the individual touchpoint line item. This action commits the line item as changed.

  10. Repeat this process for all remaining Touch Points.

  11. Once all touchpoints are correctly configured, submit the configured touchpoints for the domain. This action commits the changes to the Domains table.

  12. After the configuration window or section has closed, verify that the HTML Hosting Root reflects the location of the SSP touchpoints just indicated. Adjust if necessary.

  13. Save the changes for the domain line item. This action commits the changes on the Domain to the Set Up Website Record.

  14. Verify that the correct SSP Application is now reflected. If not, return to step 4.

  15. Save the Set Up Website record.

  16. Re-enter the Set Up Website record by clicking Edit. Under the Domains subtab, confirm that the changes were successfully committed.

  17. Navigate to the website in your browser and verify the change.
