How to Display the ‘Created From’ Field in NetSuite Report Builder?

To display the 'Created From' transaction in NetSuite reports, create a custom transaction body field. This field must have 'Store Value' enabled and be populated with the 'CreatedFrom' data via a script. Dynamic or static sourcing directly from the 'Created From' field is not supported in reports.

Users often need to include the 'Created From' transaction information in NetSuite reports for better traceability and analysis. However, attempts to directly add this field to reports through standard Report Builder functionalities prove unsuccessful. This limitation prevents direct reporting on the origin of transactions.
Solution
To display the 'Created From' information in a NetSuite report, it is necessary to create a custom field. This custom field must then be populated with the CreatedFrom information by script. It is important to note that a custom field with Store Value set to false will not be available on a report, which rules out dynamic sourcing. Furthermore, static sourcing (calculated/sourced default value) does not work from the Created From field. Therefore, a script is the required method to transfer this data into a reportable custom field.
