How to Import Multi-Currency Quantity Prices in NetSuite OneWorld?
Understand the process for successfully importing item quantity prices across multiple currencies within a NetSuite OneWorld environment.
Short answer
To import multi-currency quantity prices, first import zero values for all main currency quantity price columns. Then, in subsequent rows of the same import, include the desired quantity prices for the secondary currency. This method is applicable when quantity pricing schedules are not enabled for the items.
Scenario
Users attempting to import quantity prices for items in a secondary currency often encounter issues when the main currency prices are not fully defined. Importing secondary currency prices with empty main currency price columns may lead to incomplete data or import failures, as the system requires complete pricing definitions across all relevant currency columns.
Solution
Attempting to import quantity prices for a secondary currency without corresponding main currency prices may result in an import failure or no pricing data being imported for that row. This occurs because the system requires complete pricing definitions across all relevant currency columns. The following method has been found effective for importing multi-currency quantity prices, provided that quantity pricing schedules are not enabled for the items:
First, import zero (0) values in all quantity price columns for the main currency.
In the same import file, but in subsequent rows, include the desired quantity prices for the secondary currency. It is critical to note that if quantity pricing schedules are enabled for the items, NetSuite documentation states that only a price for quantity zero should be specified. Specifying non-zero quantity prices when schedules are enabled may lead to import failures.
