How to Resolve Vendor CSV Import Errors Related to Electronic Bank Payments?
Vendor record imports in NetSuite may fail unexpectedly when the Electronic Bank Payments feature is active, requiring its temporary deactivation.
Short answer
Vendor CSV imports can fail in NetSuite if the Electronic Bank Payments feature is enabled. To resolve this, temporarily disable the 'Electronic Bank Payments' feature under Setup > Company > Enable Features > Accounting tab, perform your vendor import, and then re-enable the feature if needed for other operations.
Scenario
Users attempting to import vendor records via CSV in NetSuite may encounter unexpected failures, regardless of the import's complexity. This issue specifically arises when the NetSuite instance has certain payment processing features enabled, preventing successful data ingestion for vendor records.
Solution
To resolve vendor CSV import failures caused by enabled payment features, follow these steps:n
Navigate to Setup > Company > Enable Features.n
Select the Accounting tab.n
Locate and uncheck the 'Electronic Bank Payments' feature.n
Save the changes to disable the feature.n
Proceed with your vendor CSV import.n
Once the import is complete, you may re-enable the 'Electronic Bank Payments' feature if it is required for other business processes by following steps 1-4 and checking the feature instead.
