How to View A/R Aging for a Root Customer and All Subcustomers in NetSuite
NetSuite's Customer Dashboard provides a direct link to an A/R Aging Detail report that automatically includes all subcustomers within a multi-tier hierarchy.
Short answer
To generate an A/R Aging Detail report for a root customer and all its subcustomers, navigate to the Customer Dashboard. Within the Customer Dashboard Links portlet, locate and click the A/R Aging Detail report link. This report automatically consolidates data for the entire customer hierarchy, allowing for detailed analysis and summary views.
Scenario
Users often need to generate an Accounts Receivable (A/R) Aging report that encompasses a primary customer and all its associated subcustomers within a multi-tier hierarchy. Standard A/R Aging report filters do not directly support this consolidated view, making it challenging to obtain a comprehensive financial overview for complex customer structures.
Solution
Access the Customer Dashboard view for the desired root customer. Navigation methods may vary, often involving a 'View Dashboard' icon from a customer list or setting the dashboard as the default view for the customer record.
Within the Customer Dashboard Links portlet, locate and click the link for the A/R Aging Detail report.
This report will automatically display A/R aging information for the selected root customer and all its associated subcustomers, regardless of the hierarchy depth (e.g., Customer, Subcustomers, Subcustomers of Subcustomers).
The report provides functionality to quickly expand and collapse data at each hierarchical level and allows users to switch between a detailed and a summary report view.
It is important to note that standard A/R Aging report filters do not offer a direct method to achieve this consolidated view across an entire customer hierarchy.
