Why is a NetSuite User Role Not Visible for Login?
NetSuite roles configured for SAML Single Sign-On will not appear for standard login unless the SAML feature is disabled.
Short answer
A NetSuite user role will not appear for selection during standard login if it has SAML Single Sign-On enabled. This configuration restricts login to SAML authentication only. To make the role visible for standard login, the SAML Single Sign-On feature must be disabled for that specific role.
Scenario
A user attempts to log into NetSuite but finds that a specific role is not available for selection. Despite the role being assigned to the user, it does not appear in the list of available roles during the login process. This prevents the user from accessing NetSuite with the intended permissions.
Solution
The issue arises because the specific NetSuite role has SAML Single Sign-On enabled. This configuration dictates that users can only log in with this role when utilizing SAML authentication. To resolve the problem and make the role available for standard login, the SAML Single Sign-On feature must be removed or disabled from the role's settings.
