How to Mass Remove or Delete Employee Roles in NetSuite?
NetSuite does not offer a direct mass deletion feature for employee roles, but a CSV import workaround can efficiently manage role assignments.

Scenario
A NetSuite administrator needs to remove a specific role from a large number of employees, potentially hundreds, across their organization. The challenge lies in efficiently managing these role assignments without a direct mass deletion feature within NetSuite.
Solution
NetSuite does not provide a direct method for mass deleting employee roles. However, a CSV import can be used as a workaround to achieve this.
Export all employees and their currently assigned roles to a CSV file.
Modify the CSV file to remove the specific role that needs to be deleted from the relevant employees.
Re-import the modified CSV file back into NetSuite. During the import process, ensure that the "Overwrite Sublists" option will be checked under csv import/advanced options. This will replace the existing role assignments with the updated list, effectively removing the unwanted role.
Alternatively, if the primary goal is to prevent users from accessing a role rather than permanently deleting it, inactivating the role is a simpler and quicker solution.
