Configure a custom search engine in Chrome's settings to quickly perform NetSuite global searches. By entering a short keyword in the address bar followed by your query, you can instantly retrieve NetSuite results within your current account and role context, enhancing efficiency.
Scenario

A common requirement is to expedite this process by leveraging browser capabilities for direct search queries, similar to how one might search the web.
Solution
To configure Chrome for direct NetSuite global searches:
Open Chrome's settings by clicking the three-dot menu, then 'Settings', then 'Search engine' in the left pane, and finally 'Manage search engines and site search' on the right.
Under the 'Site search' section, locate and select 'Add'.
In the 'Add search engine' dialog, enter the following details:
- Search engine: NetSuite
- Shortcut: ns
- URL with %s in place of query:

Chrome will display "Search NetSuite:" in the address bar. Typing a query and pressing enter will execute the search within NetSuite, displaying results in the context of the user's current NetSuite account and role.
