Why Can NetSuite Customers Only Access One External Form in Customer Center?
Understand the limitations of customer roles and external forms within the NetSuite Customer Center portal.
Short answer
NetSuite's Customer Center is designed to operate with a single external form, and customers are restricted to a single assigned role. This fundamental architectural design means that a customer cannot be granted access to multiple distinct forms through the Customer Center portal, limiting the customization of their interaction experience.
Scenario
A NetSuite user attempts to configure the Customer Center to allow customers access to various forms, expecting to provide different interaction experiences based on specific needs. However, they encounter limitations when trying to assign multiple roles or link multiple external forms to a single customer's access.
Solution
The NetSuite Customer Center is architecturally designed with specific limitations regarding customer access and form usage. Customers are restricted to having only one assigned role within the system. Concurrently, the Customer Center itself is configured to utilize only one external form. Consequently, it is not possible for a customer to be granted access to different forms through the Customer Center portal, as both the role and form configurations are singular.
