Why is a Subscription Plan Not Visible When Creating a New Subscription?
Subscription Plans may not appear if a Price Book in the customer's currency is missing, preventing proper association.
Short answer
If a Subscription Plan is not visible when creating a new subscription, the most common cause is the absence of a Price Book configured in the customer's currency. NetSuite requires a Price Book to match the customer's currency for the Subscription Plan to be available for selection. Create a new Price Book with the correct currency to resolve this.
Scenario
A user has created a Subscription Plan and ensured it is associated with the same subsidiary as the customer. However, when attempting to create a new subscription for that customer, the intended Subscription Plan does not appear in the available list for selection. This prevents the completion of the subscription setup process.
Solution
To ensure a Subscription Plan appears when creating a new subscription, it is crucial that a Price Book exists in the same currency as the customer. If, for example, the customer's currency is CAD and the only existing Price Book is in USD, the Subscription Plan will not be displayed. To resolve this, add a new Price Book in the relevant currency by following these steps:
Go to the *Lists > Subscriptions > Subscription Plan*.
Find the Subscription Plan you need to update and click *View*.
Go to the *Price Book* tab and press *New Price Book*.
Create the new *Price Book* with the relevant currency. After completing these steps, the Subscription Plan should now appear when creating the subscription.
