How to Configure NetSuite for Thermal Printer Shipping Label Integration?

When configuring NetSuite for integrated shipping label printing to a thermal printer, the following approaches can be considered:

1. Utilize NetSuite's Default Setup

For existing NetSuite customers with the "Shipping Label Integration" feature enabled, the default NetSuite setup for printing integrated shipping labels to thermal printers can be explored. It is important to note that this feature is being superseded by NetSuite Ship Central as the standard solution for new customers. The NetSuite Help Center provides documentation on configuring thermal printers for shipping labels.

2. Address Batch File Limitations

If the batch file functionality within the default setup proves unreliable or incompatible with specific operating systems, such as Windows 7, alternative methods for print management may be necessary.

3. Explore Integrated SuiteApps

While some users have historically explored external programs for print management, current best practices and official recommendations lean towards more integrated SuiteApps. Solutions like RF-SMART Cloud Printing offer advanced label printing capabilities and seamless integration with NetSuite, providing a robust alternative for complex requirements.

4. Consult Community Resources

For specific configurations or troubleshooting with various printing methods, NetSuite community forums can be a valuable resource for shared experiences and instructions.
