NetSuite Inventory Adjustments: Line-Level Class and Department Fields
This article explains the current status of adding Class and Department fields to individual lines on NetSuite Inventory Adjustment transactions.
Short answer
Currently, NetSuite's Inventory Adjustment page primarily supports Class and Department fields at the transaction header level. The ability to assign these fields per line item on the 'Adjustments' subtab has been identified as an enhancement opportunity, leading to the submission of Enhancement Request #131807 to NetSuite.
Scenario
Users often require the ability to track inventory adjustments with granular detail, specifically by assigning Class and Department values to individual line items. While these fields are available at the transaction header level on the Inventory Adjustment page, they are not explicitly present as column fields on the 'Adjustments' subtab for each item.
Solution
The functionality to include per-line Class and Department fields on the Inventory Adjustment page's 'Adjustments' subtab has been recognized as an area for improvement. As a result, an enhancement request has been formally submitted to NetSuite to address this need. The request is identified as:
